On April 22nd, we’ll be pouring BOE wine at our neighbor winery, Rooftop Red, in celebration of their first-annual Wine List Release Party, spotlighting premiere Finger Lakes & New York State vintages. One of Rooftop Reds’ key objectives is to expose city dwellers to the amazing wines that New York State produces, with a particular emphasis on the Finger Lakes wine region. At this event they will welcome nine prominent wineries at Building 92 in the Brooklyn Navy Yard to highlight their serving menu for the 2017 season. All of the participating wineries were handpicked by the Rooftop Reds management team to showcase the boutique winery movement that is flourishing in the Finger Lakes and throughout the state.
April 22nd is also Earth Day and to celebrate, Rooftop Reds will be giving a propagated vine from our rooftop vineyard to each guest. It is Rooftop Reds’ goal to spread their passion for world-class wines while also generating enthusiasm for greening our cities. Their urban populations need more green space and with your help, they can spread this belief by sharing the core of their business: the rooftop vineyard.
